Pakistan Armed forces fulfilled their commitment to the Nation: DG ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that the Pakistan Armed Forces have fulfilled their promise to the nation by responding decisively to Indian aggression through a well-coordinated military operation.

Speaking at a press conference in Rawalpindi alongside senior officers from the Pakistan Air Force and Navy, the DG ISPR said that on May 6 and 7, India launched unprovoked attacks targeting civilian populations in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in the martyrdom of innocent civilians including women and children.

In response, Pakistan launched “Operation Bunyan Marsous”, a carefully planned and executed operation targeting key Indian military positions.

“Alhamdulillah, the Pakistan Armed Forces have lived up to the nation's expectations. In Operation Bunyan Marsous, we successfully struck 26 military targets being used against Pakistan, including the Uri network station and a radar installation in Poonch,” said Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry.
He paid tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives in defense of the motherland and expressed solidarity with their families.

“Our hearts and prayers are with the families of those who sacrificed everything. The nation stands united with its armed forces,” he added.
Lt Gen Chaudhry emphasized that the success of the operation was made possible by divine help, national unity, and the unwavering support of the people.

“The armed forces of Pakistan extend their gratitude to the brave and resilient citizens whose support remains our greatest strength. We will continue to defend every inch of our homeland with unwavering resolve.”
The DG ISPR reiterated that Pakistan desires peace but will not compromise on its sovereignty, and any act of aggression will be met with a strong and proportionate response.
