Breaking silence, Thalapathi Vijay responds to ongoing marital controversy

Mumbai  (Web Desk): South Indian film superstar Thalapathi Vijay has issued his first formal statement addressing circulating rumors about his personal life.

Speaking at a Women’s Day event organized by his political platform, Tamizhaga Vetrikazagam (TVK), last week, Vijay asked his fans not to worry about the reports concerning his marital life.

He emphasized that the current issues are not serious enough to waste time over and assured that he will personally handle the matter. Vijay also requested his fans not to be concerned about his personal matters, saying that their love and support mean the most to him.

The statement comes amid news that Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, has filed for divorce and has requested the Chengalpattu Family Court for temporary permission to stay in the marital home until the divorce proceedings are finalized.
