DPM Dar, Maldivian FM discuss regional developments

Islamabad (Web Desk):  Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of the Maldives Dr. Iruthisham Adam on Wednesday.

During the call, Ishaq Dar extended his congratulations to Dr. Iruthisham Adam on the upcoming 61st anniversary of the Maldives’ independence.

The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on recent regional and international developments.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and the Maldives.

They also agreed to maintain close communication and continue consultations on matters of mutual interest.

The Maldivian foreign minister appreciated Pakistan’s efforts and role in mediating tensions between Iran and the United States.
