Sargodha (Staff Report): Just a day after Zainab incident, a teenage girl was raped and murdered in the Bhalwal town of Sargodha district.
Just as the country reels from the brutal rape and killing of the seven-year-old minor Zainab from Kasur another teenage girl, 18, was gang raped and then strangled to death, police reported.
Police found the dead body of the victim from the fields.
Two suspects have been arrested in connection to the crime, the police claimed.
It is pertinent to remember that earlier, a minor girl Zainab, a resident of Rod Kot area of Kasur , was kidnapped on her way to tuition centre on January 5. Her body was found in a garbage pile near Kashmir Chowk after four days.
According to postmortem report, the minor was strangled to death after being raped, adding that the girl was raped multiple times.
