Rawalpindi (Agencies): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday visited the Special Service Group (SSG) Headquarters at Cherat, an ISPR press release stated.
Upon arrival, PM laid a floral wreath at the shuhada monument. He was briefed about the SSG, their capabilities and performance.
SSG demonstrated their skills and operational capabilities. PM Abbasi also fired few weapons used by SSG.
While addressing SSG officers, PM wholeheartedly appreciated performance of the elite force and its contributions during the ongoing effort against terrorism.
PM Abbasi even paid rich tribute to the Martyrs of SSG and the armed forces whose sacrifices have returned peace in Pakistan.
Defence Minister, Khurram Dastgir Corps Commander Peshawar and other senior army officers were also present during the visit.
