Islamabad (Staff Report): Pakistan will witness the first lunar eclipse of the year today (Saturday).
According to Meteorology Department, the lunar eclipse will start at 03.00 am local time and will appear at it max at 06.00 am. The eclipse will continue for approximate four hours.
It will be seen partially in Pakistan.
National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) stated that the lunar eclipse will be seen in Europe, Africa, western Asia and South America.
The second lunar eclipse of the year will take place on between the night of 7th and 8th August.
The first solar eclipse of year will also take place on 26th February 2017 whereas the second is scheduled to take place on 21st August 2017.
