Lahore (Staff Report/Agencies): An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday indicted banned organization Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief (JuD) Hafiz Saeed and others on terror financing charges.
ATC judge Arshad Bhutta presided the hearing of the case. The charges were read as Saeed was present in the court.
The court adjourned the hearing till Thursday (tomorrow).
On July 3, 13 leaders of JuD were booked in nearly two dozen cases of terror financing and money laundering under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), 1997.
The CTD arrested Saeed on July 17 from Gujranwala on charges of terror financing. He was sent to prison on judicial remand after the CTD presented him before a Gujranwala ATC.
