Pakistani singer Nimra Mehra alleges music label sold her songs without consent

Lahore (Web Desk): Well-known singer Nimra Mehra has accused the music label responsible for releasing her music videos of deceiving her over the past two years and illegally transferring the rights of all her songs to another company.

In a brief Instagram video, Nimra revealed that the music label, Beyond Records, has failed to pay her any royalties for the last two years while unlawfully selling the rights to her songs to a third party.

She also pointed fingers at the label’s CEO, Jibran Khan, accusing him of misleading her and keeping her in the dark for an extended period.

Nimra stated that throughout this time, she took charge of creating her own music videos and conducting interviews, only to hand everything over to the company, which then claimed full credit for her work.

Despite promises of a formal agreement and payment of her rightful dues, Nimra alleges that she was continuously deceived and ignored.

Whenever she raised questions about payments or contracts, the company and its CEO reportedly avoided giving her clear answers and delayed matters.

She recently discovered that her music label had sold all the rights to her songs to another company without her consent, which left her shocked and seeking justice.

Nimra has now declared that she will pursue legal action, with her lawyer having already issued a legal notice to the music label.

She appealed to fellow artists and the public to support her in her fight to reclaim her rights.

To date, Beyond Records has not issued any official statement regarding these accusations. Meanwhile, many supporters have expressed sympathy and applauded her courage in the comments under her video.
