Lower power tariffs essential to strengthen industry, boost exports: SM Tanveer

Lahore (Web Desk): SM Tanveer, Patron-in-Chief of the United Business Group (UBG) and leader of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), stated on Friday that Pakistan’s future is closely tied to affordable electricity, saying lower power tariffs are essential to strengthen the industrial sector and increase the country’s exports.

Speaking to the media at the inauguration of the Solar Expo in Lahore, SM Tanveer said that reducing electricity prices would help industries expand, improve productivity and enhance Pakistan’s export performance.

He added that the industrial sector cannot operate at its full potential without affordable electricity. 
SM Tanveer said that lowering energy costs is crucial for ensuring economic stability and accelerating industrial development across the country.
