Lahore (Staff Report/Agencies): The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday issued a stay order against the conversion of Ishaq Dar’s house into a shelter home.
LHC Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan heard a petition filed by Tabbasum Dar, wife of former finance minister, challenging the Punjab government’s decision to turn Dar’s residence into a shelter home.
The petitioner stated that the provincial government’s decision is illegal as the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had already issued a stay order against auction of the same.
The IHC had on Jan 29 issued a stay order against the auction of Dar's Lahore property and scheduled the next hearing of the case for Feb 13.
The LHC also directed the provincial government to submit a response within 10 days.
