Islamabad (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation on Friday with France’s Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, during which both sides exchanged views on regional developments and matters of mutual interest.
During the call, Jean-Noël Barrot extended congratulations to Pakistan over its contribution in facilitating the initial ceasefire agreement and acknowledged Islamabad’s continued diplomatic engagement aimed at promoting long-term peace and stability in the region.
Both ministers conveyed concern over serious violations of the ceasefire reported in Lebanon and stressed the need for all parties to fully respect and implement the agreement in letter and spirit.
They also reiterated their resolve to further strengthen bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of trade and economic cooperation, and agreed to remain in close contact moving forward.
