PM Shehbaz assures full cooperation to AJK govt for people's welfare

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday conveyed his congratulations to Syed Iftikhar Ali Gilani on taking charge as the newly elected Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), while wishing him success during his term in office.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), speaking during a meeting with the AJK premier, Shehbaz Sharif assured that the federal government would continue providing complete support to the AJK administration to improve the lives and welfare of the people living in the territory.

The prime minister reiterated that the federal government remained committed to taking every possible measure to accelerate development and ensure greater prosperity for the people of AJK.

The meeting also included an extensive discussion on matters related to peace, development and welfare initiatives currently being carried out across AJK.

Syed Iftikhar Ali Gilani thanked PM Shehbaz for his cooperation and support, and pledged to use his full potential to promote development in the region and work for the betterment of its people.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah were also present at the meeting.
