Washington/Tel Aviv (Web Desk): Tensions between the United States and Israel have surfaced following Israeli airstrikes on Iran’s oil facilities.
According to US news website Axios, Washington has asked Tel Aviv for an explanation regarding the attacks on oil refineries and energy reserves.
The report states that the Israeli Air Force targeted nearly 30 oil depots and energy storage sites across Tehran and other regions.
However, US officials said they did not anticipate the scale of the attacks and were not notified in advance.
The United States has expressed concerns that attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure could drive up global oil prices and may also increase domestic support for the Iranian government, potentially complicating the geopolitical situation in the region.
This incident highlights the emerging friction between allies amid ongoing military operations and underscores the delicate coordination required when conducting strikes in a volatile region.
