Apple unveils iOS 27 with new AI features, lists supported iPhone models

California (Web Desk): Apple has announced its annual major update for iPhone users, introducing the new operating system iOS 27.

According to details, the new software is expected to be released to the public in September this year.

Information shared during the WWDC 2026 developers conference revealed several new features in iOS 27, including an upgraded Siri powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

Apple also clarified that the new AI-based features will be limited to selected modern iPhone models, including the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 series, iPhone 16e, iPhone 17e, iPhone Air, and the iPhone 17 series.

However, iOS 27 will still be available for a wider range of devices. The update will support iPhone 11 and later models, while devices from 2018 or earlier will not be eligible for the upgrade.

This means users of the iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 series will be able to install the new operating system. Similarly, the iPhone SE (2nd generation and later) will also support iOS 27.
