AJK people reject protest call of proscribed JAAC 

Muzaffarabad (Web Desk): The people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) have turned down the protest appeal made by the outlawed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), expressing clear opposition to any move that could disrupt normal life in the region.

In Mirpur, locals said that any attempt to enforce a shutdown would hit businesses hard and create serious difficulties for daily wage earners who depend on everyday economic activity.

They also cautioned that if the situation escalates into violence, it could play into the hands of hostile forces.

Stressing the need for stability, they said that Pakistan and Kashmir share an inseparable bond and that no effort to disturb peace would be tolerated.

Despite the protest call, commercial markets and business centers in Mirpur continued to operate as usual.

Citizens further urged the banned group to move away from confrontation and instead engage in dialogue to address their concerns in a peaceful and constructive manner.

In Rawalakot, normal life remained unaffected as markets, business centers, and routine activities continued without interruption. Educational institutions, trade, and social activities proceeded as usual, and traffic flow was also reported to be fully restored.

Likewise, in Muzaffarabad and Bagh, commercial areas stayed open and daily life moved forward smoothly.

Offices in Muzaffarabad, including both public and private departments, recorded normal attendance, while schools and colleges continued their academic schedules without disruption.

Meanwhile, in Bagh as well, educational, commercial and social activities remained steady, with residents carrying on their routine work as normal.
