Quetta (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Quetta on Thursday for a one-day visit.
Upon arrival, the Prime Minister was received by Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and senior civil and military officials.
During the visit,the premier will chair a high-level meeting to review the law and order situation in Balochistan.
The meeting will review the province’s overall security environment, recent terrorist incidents, and the measures being taken to maintain peace and stability.
Senior officials are expected to discuss the challenges facing the province and evaluate ongoing efforts to counter security threats.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Balochistan, along with other senior security officials, will brief the prime minister on the latest acts of terrorism, the prevailing security challenges, and the actions undertaken to address them.
During his visit, PM Shehbaz is also scheduled to hold separate meetings with the Governor of Balochistan and the Chief Minister of Balochistan.
According to sources, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will also participate in the high-level security meeting in Quetta.
