UK warns of tough action if Israel obstructs Gaza ceasefire

London (Web Desk): The United Kingdom has issued a warning to Israel, stating that any attempt to undermine the ceasefire efforts in Gaza could result in further action by the British government.

Speaking before the Foreign Affairs Committee in Parliament, UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy strongly criticized recent remarks by Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, who suggested relocating Gaza’s population of 2 million to the southern areas of the enclave. Lammy described the proposal as harmful to ongoing efforts for a ceasefire.

He made it clear that if Israel obstructs the path to peace or further escalates the current crisis, the UK will be compelled to take additional measures.

This statement comes amid ongoing ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas, mediated by the United States, which also involve discussions on the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
