KP CM Suhail Afridi in Karachi for 3-day Sindh visit

Karachi (Web Desk): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Suhail Afridi arrived in Karachi on Friday, kicking off his three-day visit to Sind.

Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) Saeed Ghani welcomed the KP CM at the Karachi airport.

A sizable crowd of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters had gathered at the airport to welcome the chief minister.

As a mark of hospitality, Ghani presented Afridi with a traditional Sindhi ajrak and cap, and Afridi thanked his supporters for the heartfelt reception.

After leaving the airport, Afridi joined a lively rally accompanied by party leaders and workers. 

According to sources, his first destination was Insaf House, where he was scheduled to meet central and provincial party officials to discuss the current political landscape and party affairs.

Meanwhile, the Sindh government has granted permission for PTI to hold a public gathering at Jinnah Ground.

Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah confirmed that the rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah would go ahead, underlining that PTI is free to carry out political activities and organize peaceful demonstrations, as long as laws are respected.

Before arriving in Karachi, Afridi shared a video message announcing that his visit to Sindh would last three days and that he would address a rally at Mazar-e-Quaid on Sunday, calling it one of the largest in Karachi’s history.

He traveled on a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight with members of his provincial cabinet after a private airline delay forced him to change his travel plans.

During his stay, Afridi is expected to meet several prominent figures, hold a press briefing at the Karachi Press Club, travel to Hyderabad, attend a reception in Baldia Town, and speak at the Mazar-e-Quaid rally on Sunday.
