India waging proxy war against Pakistan, Afghan soil being used for cross border attacks: Asif

Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that India is waging a proxy war against Pakistan, warning that Afghan territory is being used to plan and execute attacks on Pakistani soil. 
Speaking during a National Assembly debate on recent terrorism incidents, he underlined that the country can only overcome this threat through unity and collective resolve.

Highlighting the need to learn from past errors, the minister praised the armed forces for their extraordinary sacrifices in this ongoing struggle, emphasizing that their efforts must be recognized and respected.

He also stressed that any domestic disagreements should be resolved through dialogue within Parliament rather than outside it.

Opposition Leader Mehmood Khan Achakzai condemned the recent acts of terror and pledged the opposition’s full and unconditional support in combating this menace.

Asad Qaisar called for Parliament to be kept fully informed and involved in matters related to national security and counter-terrorism strategies.

Raja Pervaiz Ashraf echoed the minister’s concerns, asserting that India is actively funding and encouraging terrorist activities in Pakistan. Lawmakers Qadir Patel, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, and Khurram Shehzad also contributed to the discussion, voicing their perspectives on the ongoing threats and the country’s response.
