Oil prices will fall sharply after victory in war against Iran, claims Trump

Washington (Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has claimed that oil prices around the world will decline sharply following what he described as a US victory over Iran.

In a post shared on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump said the end of the conflict and a US victory would lead to a significant reduction in gasoline prices.

He predicted that petrol prices could fall to around $3 per gallon after the war, while they could eventually decline to below $2 per gallon.

The US president further asserted that the expected reduction in oil and gasoline prices would take place rapidly, suggesting that consumers could see the impact soon after the conflict ends.

Trump once again reiterated his administration’s position on Iran’s nuclear programme, stressing that Iran would never be permitted to acquire nuclear weapons.

His comments came as crude oil prices in the international market moved in the opposite direction.

Global oil prices have continued to rise, with another increase recorded in the latest trading session, highlighting the uncertainty surrounding energy markets amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.
