Islamabad (Web Desk): Petroleum prices have been revised upward by the government, with petrol becoming Rs12.90 per litre more expensive and high-speed diesel (HSD) going up by Rs3.72 per litre from Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
The Ministry of Energy’s Petroleum Division announced the changes through an official notification issued on Monday, stating that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had updated the ex-depot rates of petroleum products under the prevailing pricing formula.
After the latest revision, petrol will now be sold at an ex-depot rate of Rs358.77 per litre, compared with the earlier price of Rs345.87, reflecting an increase of Rs12.90 per litre.
The rate of HSD has also been adjusted upward, increasing by Rs3.72 from Rs378.05 to Rs381.77 per litre.
The revised rates are applicable from Tuesday and will remain in effect until the next scheduled review.
Fuel prices continue to be adjusted by the government according to changes in global oil prices as well as other factors affecting petroleum costs.
During the previous review held on Friday, the government had increased the price of diesel by Rs3.74 per litre. At the same time, petrol had become cheaper by Rs3.13 per litre.
