3rd ODI: South Africa set 144-run target for Pakistan

Faisalabad (Web Desk): In the third and final One Day International (ODI) match, South Africa set Pakistan a target of 144 runs to win.

The match is being played at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, where South Africa, after winning the toss, elected to bat first.

Thanks to a brilliant bowling performance by Abrar Ahmed, the South African team was bowled out for just 143 runs in 37.5 overs.

Quinton de Kock, who scored a spectacular century in the second ODI, managed to score 53 runs. Johan de Pretorius contributed 39 runs, while Pieter Malan and Matthew Breetzke both made 16 runs each.

For Pakistan, Abrar Ahmed was the standout bowler, claiming 4 wickets, while Shaheen Afridi, Salmam Agha, and Mohammad Nawaz each picked up 2 wickets.

In terms of team changes, Pakistan made two adjustments for the third match: Abrar Ahmed and Haris Rauf replaced Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim Junior in the playing XI.

It is worth mentioning that Pakistan won the first ODI, while South Africa emerged victorious in the second match.
