Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrives in Islamabad today on official visit

Islamabad (Web Desk): President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto is arriving in Islamabad today (Monday) for a two-day official visit, accompanied by a senior delegation that includes key ministers and top officials.

This marks President Prabowo’s first trip to Pakistan, adding further importance to the visit as it comes during the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

During his stay, President Prabowo will hold delegation-level discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and will also call on President Asif Ali Zardari.

Additionally, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will also hold meeting with the Indonesian president.

Both sides plan to engage on a broad agenda focused on boosting Pakistan-Indonesia ties and identifying new prospects for cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, defence, health, information technology, climate initiatives, education and cultural exchange, along with strengthening collaboration at regional and global forums.

 Several MoUs are likely to be signed between the two countries during the Indonesian President's visit.
