FIR registered over alleged abduction of PTI’s Sanam Javed from Peshawar

Peshawar (Web Desk): A case has been registered over the alleged abduction of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Sanam Javed.

According to the spokesperson for the KP chief minister, the First Information Report (FIR) was lodged on Tuesday at Peshawar’s East Police Station on the complaint of Advocate Hira Babar.

The chief minister has ordered a thorough and transparent investigation into the incident and directed law enforcement authorities to ensure the immediate arrest of those involved.

The spokesperson stated that anyone found guilty of violating the law will face strict legal consequences, adding that the provincial government is committed to ensuring complete justice for Sanam Javed.

As per the FIR lodged by her friend—a female lawyer—Sanam was reportedly intercepted by five unidentified individuals on a crowded road in Peshawar.

They allegedly forced her into their vehicle and took her away.

It was further revealed that Sanam Javed was allegedly abducted from one of the busiest roads in the city.

The spokesperson added that the provincial administration is determined to uphold the rule of law and justice through practical measures, not mere rhetoric.

PTI’s Secretary Information Sheikh Waqas Akram also claimed that Sanam Javed had been “picked up” in Peshawar.

He stated that the incident took place on one of the city’s busy roads, where two vehicles blocked her car.

According to him, the individuals forcibly pulled her out in front of her friends and drove away with her.

Waqas condemned the incident, calling it an act of abduction and demanding her immediate release.

At the same time, PTI leaders and supporters took to social media to question how such an incident could occur under a PTI-led administration in KP.
