Lahore (Staff Report/Agencies): The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday ordered the young doctors to call of their strike and resume medical duties immediately.
While hearing a case pertaining to the young doctors’ strike, said the strike was not valid under the constitution.
Punjab Health Secretary informed the court that the government had constituted a committee yesterday to take up the matter.
Justice Hassan chided the secretary, asking why the committee was constituted only yesterday when the strike had been ongoing since early October. The judge remarked that the court was standing with the government.
The court will resume the hearing of the case on December 2.
