Substantial progress made in tracing handlers, facilitators of Islamabad terrorist incident: Tarar

Islamabad (Web Desk): Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar has reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to pursuing terrorists and dismantling their networks to ensure lasting peace and stability across Pakistan.

Speaking at a press conference in Lahore alongside religious scholars, he revealed that authorities have made considerable progress in tracking down those who orchestrated and supported the recent attack in Islamabad, stressing that they are now within the law’s grasp and will be held accountable.

Condemning the targeting of Muslims during Friday prayers, he said such individuals cannot be considered human, emphasizing that terrorists have no faith, caste or creed.

The minister underscored the state’s determination to eliminate these extremist Khawarij elements and announced plans to further enhance security at mosques and Imambargahs.

He also highlighted the establishment of the Paigham-e-Aman Committee, which unites scholars from all religious schools, stressing that their shared message is one of harmony and peace, leaving no room for sectarianism or hatred.

Tarar asserted that the collective unity of religious leaders will play a vital role in confronting and eradicating terrorism from the country.
