Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm and unwavering support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) amid the recent attacks, strongly condemning the assault on the Al Jubeil oil facility that occurred earlier in the day.
According to a statement from the PM Office Media Wing, the prime minister spoke over the phone with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
During the cordial conversation, the two leaders discussed the ongoing tensions in the region.
PM Shehbaz assured the crown prince that the people and government of Pakistan would always stand in solidarity with their Saudi counterparts, just as Saudi Arabia has consistently supported Pakistan through challenging times.
He praised the prudence and restraint shown by the Saudi leadership during the crisis and highlighted Pakistan’s active role, alongside other nations, in promoting peace efforts.
The prime minister also shared updates on Pakistan’s ongoing mediation efforts to ease tensions in the Middle East.
PM Shehbaz conveyed his warm regards and respect to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The crown prince acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability across the region.
