Istanbul: Pakistan showcases higher education excellence at EURIE 2026 with dedicated pavilion

Istanbul (Web Desk): Pakistan is proudly showcasing its excellence in higher education at the “Eurasia Higher Education Summit (EURIE) 2026.” being held from April 07-09 in Turkiye’s historic city of Istanbul.

A high-level 42-member Pakistani delegation, led by Professor. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Chairman of the Association of Private Sector Universities of Pakistan (APSUP), is attending the three-day event.

The delegation includes owners, vice-chancellors, and education experts from Pakistan’s leading universities, all showcasing the nation’s capabilities in higher education on the international stage.

The country’s presence is highlighted through the dedicated ‘Pakistan Pavilion,’ which has become a focal point for global participants and education experts.

Formally inaugurated by Pakistan’s Consul General in Istanbul, Khawaja Khurram Naeem, together with APSUP Chairman Professor Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, the pavilion reflects Pakistan’s commitment to advancing world-class education and fostering international academic collaborations.
Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Khawaja Khurram Naeem emphasized the significance of Pakistan’s active participation in the summit.

He expressed hope that Pakistani universities would achieve their goals through this platform, further elevating Pakistan’s standing within the global academic community.

The Pakistan Pavilion features some of the country’s most reputable educational institutions, including, Superior University, University of Lahore, University of Faisalabad, University of Sialkot, Lahore Leads University, Iqra University, Riphah International University, Preston University, City University, CECOS University, Institute of Business Management (IoBM), and GIFT University.

Additionally, prominent organizations and representatives from OIC-COMSTECH, Sindh Higher Education Commission, Bahria University, and University of South Asia will be part of the delegation, contributing to policy discussions, academic networking, and international outreach.

During the summit, the Pakistani delegation is participating in various academic sessions and visiting prominent Turkish universities. The platform aims to strengthen international collaboration, promote joint research, and enhance global educational linkages.

Professor Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman met with delegations from several countries, briefing them on the objectives of Pakistani universities and the cutting-edge research being conducted there.

Beyond the summit, the delegation will also attend receptions hosted by APSUP and EURIE organizers. These activities will include academic meetings, collaboration talks, and the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).

The initiative aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation in higher education, research, student exchange, and innovation between Pakistani institutions and leading universities worldwide, underscoring Pakistan’s expanding role in the global academic community.
