Seoul, South Korea (Web Desk): A group of South Korean engineers have designed the first Braille smartwatch for the blind people.
According to the engineers, the smartwatch has shifting cells of raised bumps which visually impaired people can read or feel as words. The device could help blind people to read text messages and e-books.
The watch features include built-in vibration motor and Bluetooth to convert text from apps.
The vibration motor alerts wearers to incoming messages which were sent to the watch from a smart phone. It uses Bluetooth to convert text from apps such as iMessage into Braille letters.
The watch can run up to five days on a single charge.
