Militant's confession exposes misleading narrative of Fitna al-Khawarij

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Confessional statement of Khawarji Umar Din alias Jazba, arrested by security forces, has exposed the misleading narrative and operational structure of Fitna al-Khawarij.

In his statement, the detained militant revealed that he joined the banned organization on January 12, 2025, following a dispute with his father.

Umar Din disclosed that each Khawarij commander is accompanied by between 60 and 70 Afghan nationals who have reportedly undergone formal training in Afghanistan.

According to his confession, members of the network were directly involved in several major attacks, including the assault on the Shadi Khel base and the bomb explosion that occurred on Kohta Khawah Road.

Providing details about conditions inside the group's training camps, the arrested militant claimed that many members are heavily involved in drug use and engage in immoral activities within their compounds. He further alleged that certain Khawarij commanders exploit young boys and commit acts of misconduct.

Umar Din also stated that the group receives financial assistance from Khawarij commanders based in Afghanistan. To fund its operations, he said, the organization is allegedly involved in extortion, vehicle theft, and kidnapping for ransom.

In his statement Umar Din warned Pakistani youth against falling prey to the group's messaging. He said Khawarij commanders lure young people by invoking the enforcement of Sharia and the concept of jihad, using these themes to influence and indoctrinate them.

He urged young Pakistanis to remain vigilant and reject the group's false promises and misleading propaganda.
