Islamabad (Web Desk): The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday stated that it will complete printing of the final electoral rolls by August 12, 2022.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Secretary ECP Umar Hameed Khan announced the development.
He said the preliminary electoral rolls have been placed at over 20,000 display centers across the country for general public to check their votes.
The secretary ECP urged the people to visit these display centres for correction or inclusion of missing names if any.
Umar Hameed Khan said that people can also know about their votes by sending a free SMS containing Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number without hyphen and spaces to 8300.
The secretary ECP said that over 12 million voters will be eligible to exercise their right to franchise in the next general elections.
