Authorities from Raymore Animal Control reported that a local resident took in a stray cat, and when officials scanned its microchip, they discovered the cat’s name was Harriet and that it had been missing for almost a year.

Raymore Animal Control shared the news on social media, saying, “This is Harriet, who had been missing for 11 months.

Because her microchip information was up to date, we were able to contact her owner and safely return her home.”
