Pakistan Navy and Royal Navy of Oman conduct bilateral naval exercise 

Karachi (Web Desk): A flotilla of the Royal Navy of Oman, including the vessels Al Rasikh and Al Shinas, reached Karachi to take part in the 12th edition of the bilateral maritime exercise Thamar Al Tayyib (TAT) 2025.

The drill was designed to reinforce cooperation on maritime security and further strengthen the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and Oman.

As the Omani ships docked at Karachi Port, they were welcomed with traditional naval protocols. Senior Pakistan Navy officers were present to receive the guests, and the Pakistan Navy band added a ceremonial touch with its musical performance.

TAT-2025 once again provided both navies with a valuable forum for shared training, improved interoperability and professional growth.

Pakistan and Oman have been holding the TAT series of exercises regularly since 1980, with the previous edition, TAT-2023, conducted in Omani waters.

During their stay in Karachi, the RNO delegation met Pakistan Navy leadership, attended onboard receptions and visited major naval facilities and training centres.

Personnel from both sides also engaged in technical discussions, operational briefings and experience-sharing across a wide range of maritime fields.

The visit concluded with an extensive sea phase, where ships from the two navies carried out complex maneuvers and joint drills covering critical aspects of contemporary naval warfare.

Pakistan Navy reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing regional maritime collaboration and building strong partnerships with friendly navies.

The participation of the Royal Navy of Oman in TAT-2025 highlights the growing defence cooperation between the two countries and their shared resolve to promote regional peace, stability and closer maritime ties.
