Govt to develop Urdu equivalents for modern tech terminology: Shaza Fatima 

Islamabad (Web Desk): Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima has said that the government is setting up a panel of linguistic and technology professionals to introduce Urdu substitutes for emerging technological vocabulary.

While speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad on Tuesday, she observed that a large number of modern tech-related expressions still have no Urdu counterparts.

She underlined the significance of adapting these terms into the national language so that people across the country can better understand and engage with technological advancements.

The federal minister further shared that efforts are underway to establish public digital infrastructure designed to enable efficient data interoperability and smoother connectivity between systems.

Discussing opportunities for young people, Shaza Fatima said the government’s attention remains centred on creating meaningful avenues of employment for the youth.

Referring to Indus AI Week, she recalled that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had announced $1 billion investment in artificial intelligence (AI) and also unveiled a plan to equip one million individuals with AI-related skills training.
