Youm-e-Istehsal: Pakistan reaffirms unwavering solidarity with Kashmiris

Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan is observing Youm-e-Istehsal today to stand in solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and to denounce the Indian government's unilateral and unlawful actions carried out on August 5, 2019.

On this day, six years ago, India revoked the special constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir, stripping the region of its autonomy under Article 370—a move condemned by Pakistan, Kashmiris, and segments of the global community.

To mark the occasion, various rallies, awareness walks, and gatherings are being organized throughout Pakistan, including all provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. At 10:00 AM, a minute of silence was observed across the country as a symbol of respect and solidarity with the Kashmiri people who continue to endure occupation and violence.

Pakistani diplomatic missions overseas are also playing their part by hosting special events to highlight the ongoing struggle of Kashmiris and to draw international attention to the human rights violations in the region.

Meanwhile, national and private television and radio stations are broadcasting special programming focused on the sacrifices made by Kashmiris, the role of freedom movement leaders, and the severe conditions faced by civilians under Indian rule.

The observance of Youm-e-Istehsal serves as a reminder of the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination and Pakistan’s continued commitment to their cause on every platform.
