Islamabad (Staff Report): Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi on Sunday called on the incoming prime minister, Imran Khan, at his residence Bani Gala.
The UN representative congratulated the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on his performance in the recent elections.
Apart from Lodhi, the ambassadors of Japan, Britain, and other foreign dignitaries have also visited the PTI chief in recent days.

Talking to the media on Sunday, PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry said that a parliamentary meeting of the party will take place on Monday, adding that all MNAs-elect of the party have been directed to be present at the meeting. During the meeting Imran Khan will be formally announced as the party’s nominee for premier, Chaudhry maintained.

Further after the support of Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M), the party will have 177 seats, Chaudhry said.
