Eight-member AJK cabinet takes oath, PM unveils 100-day roadmap

Muzaffarabad (Web Desk): The newly formed eight-member cabinet of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government took oath on Friday, marking the formal induction of the new ministers into the regional administration.

Acting AJK President Chaudhry Tariq Farooq administered the oath to the newly appointed ministers.

Those who took oath included Mustafa Bashir, Raja Saqib Majid, Sardar Mir Akbar, Colonel (retd) Waqar Noor, Azhar Sadiq, Raja Riasat, Umair Naeem and Abdul Rehman Arain.

Meanwhile, a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Iftikhar Gilani was held to review a detailed roadmap for achieving the government’s targets during its first 100 days in office.

Addressing the meeting, the AJK PM said that ensuring good governance, transparency and merit would remain the government’s foremost priorities.

Gilani said that the pace of reforms would be accelerated in line with the vision and guidance of Nawaz Sharif.

He further said the government’s primary focus was to ease the difficulties faced by ordinary citizens and ensure the provision of essential public services.
