Renowned poet and lyricist Tufail Hoshiarpuri remembered on death anniversary 

Lahore (Web Desk): The 32nd death anniversary of renowned poet and lyricist Tufail Hoshiarpuri was observed on Saturday.

Born Mohammad Tufail on July 14, 1914, in Hoshiarpur, British India, he was an active participant in the Pakistan Movement, where he recited patriotic poems at gatherings of the Muslim League. 
After the Partition, Tufail Hoshiarpuri migrated to Lahore and joined Radio Pakistan in 1952, where he continued his artistic journey.

His famous patriotic song, "Ai Mard-e-Mujahid Jaag Zara," became an anthem for the nation, inspiring many with its powerful message.

Tufail Hoshiarpuri also wrote songs for numerous Urdu and Punjabi films, making significant contributions to the music industry.

His literary and artistic achievements were recognized when he was awarded the Pride of Performance.

Tufail Hoshiarpuri passed away on this day in 1993, leaving behind a remarkable legacy in the fields of poetry, music, and patriotism.
