Huge gold deposit found in Iran’s South Khorasan

Khorasan (Web Desk): A large gold deposit has been discovered in the Shadan region of South Khorasan, Iran, as confirmed by the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade. According to local media, the deposit was found in one of the country's largest mines.

Sources reveal that the deposit contains approximately 7.95 million tons of oxide and 53.1 million tons of sulfide gold, spread out in veins, resembling a vast gold vein.

Previously, Iran had 15 known gold mines, with the largest being the Zarshuran mine in the northwest of the country. This new discovery will significantly increase Iran's gold reserves.
