Islamabad (Web Desk): The federal government has announced a reduction in petroleum product prices, providing relief to consumers.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs3.39 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel has been cut by Rs4.07 per litre.
Following the reduction, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs328.56 per litre, whereas high-speed diesel will now be available at Rs385.86 per litre.
The government decided to lower petroleum prices in view of the recent decline in global crude oil prices and a reduction in import costs. According to the Ministry of Energy, the revised prices will come into effect from August 5, 2026.
The decrease in petroleum prices is expected to have a positive impact on the transport sector and various business activities, providing some relief to consumers and industries.
