Beirut (Online): At least 28 civilians were killed in air strikes by government forces on rebel-held region near Damascus, Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor confirmed.
According to the observatory, 22 people including two children were killed in the air strike, the highest death toll in Douma town in Eastern Ghouta while 5 more civilians were killed in the town of Sabqa and one in the town of Harasta in the same region.
In the meantime, a two-day conference on the future of Syria and the region will begin in Brussels today (Tuesday).
It will bring together representatives of over 70 countries, international organizations and civil society.
