Peshawar (Web Desk): Security forces have been carrying out successful intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) over the last two months under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative, aiming to dismantle militant networks and improve security in the region.
According to security sources, a series of IBOs in North Waziristan led to the destruction of several hideouts used by Fitna al-Khawarij militants.
During one of the operations carried out in the Khatti Kili area, troops engaged the militants, killing several members of the outlawed group.
Following the operation, security personnel seized a substantial quantity of weapons, ammunition, and other military-related equipment from the site.
The security sources further stated that reports indicate a number of other Fitna al-Khawarij militants were wounded during the same operation.
Security sources stressed that every possible precaution is being taken during these operations to protect local residents, safeguard their property, and prevent civilian casualties.
They reaffirmed that security forces will maintain intelligence-led operations throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa until terrorism is rooted out and lasting peace is fully restored across the province.
