Lahore (Staff Report): The Punjab government plans to introduce cable cars, ropeways transport system in four specified cities of the province.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said while presiding over a meeting held to review arrangements regarding installation of ropeways transport system, and directed the officials to prepare the feasibility report on installation of the system. The places chosen for feasibility in Lahore are from Imamia Colony to Railway Station, Jahangir Tomb to Greater Iqbal Park and Jalo Morr to Thokar Niaz Baig and the fourth one from Murree to Islamabad.
CM Shehbaz further stated that it would be a beautiful project.
A presentation was also delivered for him about the effectiveness of the system.
Moreover, he further said, “An International Company has expressed willingness to work on this project with the Punjab government”.
