Islamabad (Web Desk): At least four people were killed and two others were injured after protocol vehicles of Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplaces Kashmala Tariq’s violated a signal and crashed into a car and motorcycle on the Srinagar Highway in Islamabad on Tuesday.
According to Islamabad police spokesperson, protocol vehicles of the former MNA violated the sector G-11 traffic signal and collided into two vehicles, killing at least four people and injuring two others.
The official confirmed that Waqas Khan, husband of Kashmala Tariq has been arrested, while her son and others in the convoy managed to flee from the scene.
Earlier the day, at least 14 people were killed and 10 others were injured when a passenger van overturned near Uthal city of Lasbela district in Balochistan.
The passenger van was en-route to Karachi from Panjgur area of Balochistan when it overturned due to high-speed.
The accident took place at Sakan near Wayaro Farm when the van driver lost control of the speeding vehicle.
The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital in Uthal. Among the deceased were five women, three children and seven men.
