Govt increases petrol price by Rs4.07, diesel by Rs4.04 per litre

Islamabad (Web Desk): The federal government on Tuesday announced a fresh increase in petroleum prices that comes into effect from today (October 1).

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs4.07 per litre to Rs268.68.

The rate of high-speed diesel has also been raised by Rs4.04, fixing the new price at Rs276.81 per litre.

In the last fortnightly adjustment, the authorities had already revised fuel rates upward, increasing both high-speed diesel (HSD) and kerosene oil. The price of HSD went up by Rs2.78 per litre, moving from Rs269.99 to Rs272.77.
