DPM Dar, Iranian FM Araghchi discuss evolving regional situation

Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a detailed telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during which both sides held an in-depth exchange of views on the evolving regional situation and recent political and security developments.

According to diplomatic sources and a statement attributed to the Foreign Office, the two leaders discussed a wide range of issues concerning regional stability, emerging tensions, and ongoing developments affecting multiple countries in the region.

The Iranian foreign minister briefed his Pakistani counterpart on Iran’s concerns regarding recent developments, while also highlighting the importance of diplomatic engagement and coordinated efforts to reduce tensions.

He emphasized the need for continued dialogue among regional states to prevent further escalation and maintain stability.

On his part, Ishaq Dar conveyed Pakistan’s perspective on the situation, expressing concern over rising instability in the region.

He reiterated Pakistan’s support for peaceful resolution of disputes through dialogue and diplomacy, stressing that restraint and sustained communication among all parties is essential for maintaining peace.

Both ministers also reviewed broader areas of bilateral cooperation and agreed that Pakistan and Iran should remain in close contact as the regional situation continues to evolve.

They further agreed to continue consultations at various levels in the coming days, underscoring the importance of coordinated diplomatic efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
