Gilgit (Web Desk): Barrister Khalid Khursheed on Tuesday sworn in as Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister.
Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon administered the oath.
Members of the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly and other high officials attended the oath taking ceremony.
PTI candidate Khursheed elected as new chief minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Barrister Khursheed secured 22 votes, while joint opposition’s candidate advocate Amjad Hussain got nine votes.
Earlier, the PTI had announced that it was set to form its government in GB after grabbing 10 seats in the general elections. But after gaining the support of six independent winners and allotment of six reserved seats, PTI secured 22 out of the 33 seats in the Assembly.
