Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan and Canada have renewed their pledge to deepen economic collaboration and explore new areas of partnership for mutual growth.
This came during a telephonic conversation between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand.
The two sides discussed expanding trade and investment opportunities, with a particular focus on agriculture and the mining and minerals sectors.
They also reviewed cooperation under the Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPPA).
Minister Anand conveyed her appreciation to Ishaq Dar for Pakistan’s role in ensuring continued market access for Canadian canola exports.
Both officials expressed satisfaction over the recent positive engagements between their countries and reaffirmed their determination to build a stronger economic relationship.
They agreed to maintain close coordination and continue efforts to further enhance bilateral cooperation.
