Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices continued their upward trend across Pakistan, recording another significant increase in the local bullion market.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of one tola of gold rose by Rs3,000 during the trading week, taking the new rate to Rs430,436 per tola.

The price of 10 grams of gold also climbed by Rs2,572, reaching Rs369,029.

Bullion dealers said fluctuations in international gold prices continue to have a direct impact on Pakistan's local market.

They attributed the latest increase to persistent global economic uncertainty, monetary policies adopted by central banks, rising inflation, and growing investor preference for safe-haven assets such as gold.

Market experts believe gold prices could rise further if uncertainty in global financial markets continues.

They noted that investors often shift their funds into gold during periods of economic instability, increasing demand and pushing prices higher.

Meanwhile, traders in the jewellery market said the steady rise in gold prices has affected buying and selling activity.

Consumers are becoming more cautious about purchasing jewellery, while demand during the wedding season has also remained lower than in previous years.

Economists said local gold prices may continue to increase unless international markets stabilise.

They added that the value of the US dollar, global economic conditions, and international market trends will remain key factors influencing gold prices in Pakistan in the coming days.
