Islamabad (Web Desk): The federal government on Saturday reduced the price of petrol by Rs1.86 per litre for the next fortnight in line with downward trend in the international market.
According to an official statement, the new fuel prices will be effective from September 1.
After the reduction, the new price of petrol will be Rs259.10 per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has also been reduced by Rs3.32 and its new price has dropped to Rs262.75 from Rs266.07 per litre.
Meanwhile, the price of kerosene oil has decreased to Rs169.62 per litre, while the price of light diesel oil has been reduced to Rs154.05 per litre.
In the previous fortnightly review, the government had reduced petrol price by Rs8.47 per litre and diesel by Rs6.70 per litre.
